The published machine sheet lists the SD16E as WD10G178E25 or SC11CB184G2B1 rated 120 kW at 1850 rpm, and the SD16L as WD10G178E25 rated 131 kW at 1850 rpm, on a machine of approximately 17 to 18.5 tonnes. The two builds are not interchangeable, so the engine plate and the assembly number must be quoted together when ordering.

The machine sheets give the build as WD10G178E25 or as SC11CB184G2B1, and the market carries 16Y-01C-10000 for the first and 16Y-01A-01000 for the second. A request for an SD16 engine without the build is incomplete, because the two assemblies do not replace one another.
Machine sheets give 120 kW at 1850 rpm, the wetland sheet gives 131 kW at 1850 rpm, and one dealer sheet for the SC11CB184G2B1 gives 135 kW or 184 metric horsepower. A further build, SC11CB220G2B1, is a loader engine at 162 kW and 2200 rpm, so the rating and the duty have to be fixed.
The dealer sheet gives 121 mm by 152 mm, which comes to about 10.49 L over six cylinders; one listing states 14 L and a compression ratio of 14.5 to 1; and another states 16.5 to 1 with a figure of 270 horsepower against a rating of 120 kW. The plate settles the build.
The same C6121 and SC11 family is sold for wheel loaders, for XCMG cranes and for a loader build at 162 kW and 2200 rpm. The machine the engine is coming out of has to be stated rather than assumed.
Entries name SD16, SD22 and SD32 together with 4BTAA, 6CT and N855, which are three different sizes, and a further entry offers 3126B and 3220B for SD08, SD13, SD16, SD22 and SD32. One supplier repeats near-identical headlines in two entries at an identical price.
Complete assemblies are advertised from about USD 1,300 to 8,000, with entries near 100 to 200, near 5 and near 1 to 3 that cannot describe a complete engine. Units are quoted per piece, per set, per unit and per bag, so one delivered price per engine for the stated build should be requested.
