Product Description
C13 ACERT 12.5L Engine Assembly — 287 kW / 385 bhp for CAT 345D Excavator

Complete C13 ACERT engine assembly built on a 130 mm bore and 157 mm stroke, displacing 12.5 litres (762.8 cu in). Rated 287 kW / 385 bhp at 2100 rpm on the continuous curve, with 1,760 N·m available at 1400 rpm. The maker sheet records arrangement 2413804, a compression ratio of 17.3 to 1, 939 kg dry weight, and compliance with EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIA. Fuel delivery is by MEUI under ADEM A4 control — this is not a common rail system, despite what many trade headings claim.

Key Features
  • 12.5 litre inline six, 762.8 cubic inches
  • Arrangement 2413804 taken directly from the maker sheet
  • Continuous curve published point by point, not just a peak figure
  • MEUI injection and ADEM A4 control named as the control path
  • Dry weight and envelope supplied for rigging and transport planning

Maker Arrangement2413804 is printed on the maker sheet for the 287 kW continuous build, and it does not appear in most trade headings.
Trade Assembly Numbers423-3922, 291-9259, 3427863, 417-2601, 487-6161 and 467-2584 all circulate against this engine.
Reman Prefixes20R-5388 and 20R-2862 mark exchange units; 6V-3100 uses a legacy numbering style that predates this family.
Torque Across the Curve1306 N·m at rated speed climbing to 1760 N·m at 1400 rpm — a machine complaint about lugging is answered by the curve rather than by the peak figure.
Cautions Before Ordering
Two Compression Figures: The maker sheet prints 17.3 to 1 while several dealer pages print 17.0 to 1. The difference is a transcription habit, not a build change.
Continuous Is Only One Rating: The same block is sold up to 388 kW and beyond in other applications, so a 287 kW quotation and a 520 hp quotation may describe one engine at two duties.
Not a Common Rail Engine: Injection runs through MEUI units triggered by the camshaft and governed by an ADEM A4 module, so a rail listing belongs to a different family.
Machine Class Mismatch: Headings pair this engine with frames from two different weight classes at once; the arrangement number on the plate settles which machine it came out of.
Price Per What: Figures quoted per thousand units, per carton, or in seven figures for one engine are not comparable — and two of those appear in the same feed as ordinary prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Why does the same C13 show 385 hp in one place and 520 in another?

Because the rating family is chosen for the duty. This sheet describes a continuous application where the engine may sit at full power without interruption, and continuous ratings are deliberately conservative; other applications allow higher output because the load cycles. Both figures are honest, and neither is useful until the machine and the duty are named.

Q2: Is this engine common rail?

It is not. Fuel is delivered by mechanically actuated electronic unit injectors, with timing and quantity decided by the control module rather than by rail pressure. That matters at the parts counter because rail components and MEUI components belong to separate families, and a mixed order produces a machine that will not start.

Q3: What should I photograph before ordering a replacement?

The arrangement plate, the injection pump side of the block, and the bell housing face. Those three images settle the arrangement number, the governor, and the flywheel housing in one exchange — faster than three rounds of questions, and it removes most of the risk of shipping an engine that fits the machine but not the harness.

Q4: Which arrangement number applies here?

2413804, listed with feature code C13DI00.

Q5: What does the engine weigh?

939 kg dry, measuring 1202.6 by 1011.1 by 1185.5 mm.

Q6: Which emission stage does it meet?

EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIA.
