CMM EXPO 2026 — the International Exhibition of Construction and Mining Equipment — closed its doors at the IEC EXPO centre in Astana on 5 September. When our team packed up Stand D1 at the end of the third day, the tally was easy to state: 50 new customer contacts collected, and three to four of those conversations already converted into orders before the end of the week.
For a supplier of diesel engine parts and hydraulic components for excavators, loaders, bulldozers and mining equipment, that is a meaningful return from three days. Kazakhstan and its neighbours are running some of the hardest-working fleets on earth — open-pit mining haulers, road-building equipment, quarry and earthmoving machines — and most of that iron is diesel-powered and out of warranty. The parts demand behind it is real, recurring, and local. CMM EXPO put us directly in front of the people who own that demand.
Our booth opened on 3 September under the banner that has become our calling card at construction shows: Excavator Parts — good quality, affordable price, worldwide delivery. Alongside the printed catalogue we laid out the three headings that define how we work — engine parts, excavator parts, and mining industry solutions — and then we simply stood there and talked to people. That is still the whole job at a trade fair.
Stand D1, IEC EXPO Astana — the booth as visitors found it across the three show days.
The location helped. Stand D1 sat on a main aisle of the hall, and the booth layout gave us a small meeting table as well as a counter — which matters more than it sounds. Half of the value of a show like this is not the people who stop to collect a catalogue; it is the people who sit down, pull out a phone with a photo of a failed part, and ask whether we can supply it.
What Buyers Were Actually Asking ForTrade-show conversations are a good filter for what a market needs, and CMM EXPO 2026 was no exception. Our banner listed thirteen product groups — cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, piston groups, crankshafts, camshafts, turbochargers, water pumps, oil pumps, flywheels, alternators, starters, fuel injectors and fuel pumps — and visitors walked the line of them with a purpose.
The fleets in this region are not being replaced; they are being maintained. Buyers arrived with machine models and engine numbers in hand, looking for the parts that keep a working machine in service. That is exactly the conversation we are set up for: we confirm fitment against the engine serial number before quoting, rather than selling the nearest available item.
2. Engine overhauls on high-hour unitsPiston groups, cylinder heads, crankshafts and camshafts drew steady attention — the parts that decide whether a rebuild lasts another 8,000 hours or becomes a second repair. Buyers wanted to talk about documentation as much as price: what is included, what is inspected, what is guaranteed.
3. Electronics and fuel system — the parts that cannot be guessedFuel injectors and fuel pumps produced the most technically detailed conversations of the show. On electronically controlled engines, a part that fits but does not match the ECM calibration runs badly and can damage the engine. Visitors who understood that were not shopping by price alone, and those are the customers we want.
From Contact to Order: What Happens After a Show
A business card is not a customer. The three days in Astana only produced value because of what happened in the two weeks after them.
All 50 contacts were logged and assigned to a named sales engineer within 48 hours of the show closing. Each follow-up opens the same way — not with a catalogue dump, but with a question: what machine, what engine, and what part number are you chasing? From there we confirm the correct variant, quote with a real delivery time to Central Asia, and stay on the same thread until the parts are landed and fitted.
That process is why the show converted at all. Three to four of the visitors at Stand D1 became customers within days, and the rest are working through quotations now.
What We SupplyThe display at Stand D1 was a sample of a much larger range. Two drawings summarise how we cover a machine — from the engine at one end to the undercarriage at the other.
Engine parts we supply — overhaul kits, cylinder blocks and heads, crankshafts, camshafts, turbochargers, injectors, fuel pumps, water and oil pumps, starters, alternators and flywheel housings. Excavator parts we supply — hydraulic pumps, boom / arm / bucket cylinders, swing and travel assemblies, distribution valves, track groups, rollers, buckets and cabs.
| Product group | Displayed components | Typical applications |
|---|---|---|
| Engine structural parts | Cylinder block, cylinder head | Excavator, loader and bulldozer diesel engines |
| Engine reciprocating parts | Piston group, crankshaft, camshaft | Engine overhaul and rebuild programmes |
| Air and boost | Turbocharger | Excavators, wheel loaders, mining trucks |
| Cooling and lubrication | Water pump, oil pump | All diesel-powered construction equipment |
| Fuel system | Fuel injector, fuel pump | Electronically controlled and mechanical engines |
| Electrical | Alternator, starter | Excavators, loaders, mining and road equipment |
| Rotating components | Flywheel and flywheel housing | Engine-to-transmission and pump drive assemblies |
| Hydraulics | Hydraulic pump, cylinders, distribution valve | Excavator main hydraulic systems |
| Undercarriage | Track group, rollers, guide wheel, final drive | Excavators working in quarry and mining conditions |
Excavator applications come first, as they always do for us — the machine class that drives most of the demand we see, followed by loaders, bulldozers and other earthmoving equipment.
Astana, and the Road HomeWith the Chinese exhibitor delegation at the opening of CMM EXPO Qazaqstan 2026, and in Astana afterwards — a long way from Guangzhou, and worth every hour of the flight.
About Guangzhou Lanxin Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd.Guangzhou Lanxin Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. is a supplier of diesel engine parts and hydraulic components for construction and mining equipment, based in Guangzhou, China. Our range covers complete engine assemblies, overhaul kits, turbochargers, cylinder heads and blocks, crankshafts, camshafts, injectors, fuel pumps, water and oil pumps, starters, alternators, and hydraulic and undercarriage components for excavators, loaders, bulldozers and mining machinery — including parts for Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, Isuzu, Cummins, Deutz, Kubota and other major equipment brands.
We serve excavator owners, repair workshops, fleet maintenance teams and parts distributors who need correct fitment the first time. Every unit is inspected before shipment, compatibility is confirmed against the engine or machine serial number before you commit, and if we do not stock the right part we will say so rather than sell you a near miss.
CMM EXPO 2026 confirmed what we already believed: Central Asia is not a market that buys parts on price alone. It buys parts that fit, that last, and that arrive when promised. To everyone who stopped at Stand D1 in Astana — thank you. If you collected our details and have not yet sent us your engine number, that is the one message worth sending this week.
