Place of Origin:
China
Brand Name:
Kubota
Model Number:
V3600
Complete V3600-T-ET02 diesel engine assembly for Kubota excavator applications — a turbocharged four-cylinder unit of 3.6 litres (3621 cc) on a 98 mm bore and 120 mm stroke, rated 63 kW at 2600 rpm against assembly number 1J408-26000. The same engine code is also sold at 49.8 kW naturally aspirated and at 35 kWe in generator trim, and its nearest neighbour, the V3800, differs by two millimetres of bore. This page separates those builds and lists the shared bolt, cover and overhaul numbers.

| The Neighbour One Digit Up | V3800 measures 100 mm by 120 mm for 3,769 cc and carries a four-valve head, while this engine keeps 98 mm and three valves. |
|---|---|
| Smaller Sibling | V3307 shares the 98 mm bore at 3,318 cc, so bore alone does not identify the family. |
| Four Builds, One Code | V3600-E3B at 49.8 kW, V3600-T-E3B and T-ET02 at 63 kW, and V3600-TE3BG at 35 kWe standby for generator duty. |
| Two Assembly References | 1J408-26000 and 1J407-00001 both trade against this engine, and they are not interchangeable in an order. |
| Overhaul Numbers | 1G533-99352 and 1G533-99362 kits, 1C020-03310 and 1C011-21050 gaskets, 1J574-21980 and 1J574-21982 pistons. |
| Shared With Neighbours | Head bolt 1C010-03450 and timing cover 1C010-04164 are listed across V3300, V3600 and V3800. |
| Machine Seen In Trade | The KX080-4 is the mini excavator most often named beside this rating. |
| Caution — Head Will Not Swap Across | A three-valve casting and a four-valve casting differ in ports, rocker layout and cover, so a V3800 head is not a repair for this block. |
| Caution — Speed Of The Genset Build | The BG version is governed at 1800 rpm for 50 Hz work, and its cam, pump setting and governor are set for steady load rather than travel. |
| Caution — Token Prices In The Feed | Listings carrying one yuan or one hundred yuan for a complete engine are placeholders that distort any comparison built on them. |
| Related Components | Cylinder head, gasket set, piston and ring set, liner, bearings, injector, injection pump, turbocharger, oil pump, water pump, head bolt, timing cover. |
Q1: How do I tell a V3600 from a V3800 without a plate?
Measure the bore if the head is off, or count the valves if it is not. Two millimetres of bore separate them, and that difference is written plainly on the piston crown but not on the outside of the block, where the two look like brothers. The safer route is the casting number on the block flank, checked against an assembly list rather than guessed from the machine size.
Q2: Why is the same engine quoted at three different outputs?
Because the tail codes describe duty, not displacement. A naturally aspirated industrial build is held at 49.8 kW, a turbocharged mobile build at 63 kW and a generator build at 35 kWe on a fixed 1800 rpm, and each of those is a different governor setting, a different pump calibration and often a different camshaft. Two engines with the same casting and the same bore can therefore be entirely different purchases.
Q3: Can a four valve head be fitted to raise the output?
It is not a swap, it is a different engine. Port spacing, rocker geometry, cover bolt pattern and piston valve reliefs all change together, and the injection equipment has to be re-set to suit the new breathing. Anyone offering a head as a power upgrade is selling a project, and the cost of finishing it usually exceeds the price of the correct assembly.
Q4: Which assembly number covers the turbo build?
1J408-26000, with 1J407-00001 sold against the same engine family.
Q5: Is the head bolt shared with other models?
Yes, 1C010-03450 is listed for V3300, V3600 and V3800 alike.
Q6: Which machine is this rating normally ordered for?
The KX080-4 mini excavator, though the same rating serves other frames.
Q1: What is this part?
A complete four cylinder engine assembly for Kubota 07 series V3307, quoted as 1G398-32000 with 1G398-42000 on the T build.
Q2: What are the main specifications?
3.331 L, 94 mm bore by 120 mm stroke, turbocharged and direct injection, 55.4 kW at 2600 rpm with 265 Nm, and 268 kg dry.
Q3: Which machines use it?
Excavators, skid steer loaders, tractors and industrial power units.
Q4: Is a V3300 the same engine?
No, it is the earlier generation.
Q5: Is the CR-T interchangeable with the DI-T?
No, the fuel systems and weights differ.
Q6: What do you need before dispatch?
The build code and engine number from the plate, and the machine model and serial.
