China
Brand Name:
Perkins
Model Number:
1104C-44T
The 1104C-44T is the turbocharged four-cylinder build of the Perkins 1100 C series, published at 74.5 kW (99.9 bhp) at 2300 rpm with 415 N*m at 1350 rpm from 4.41 litres on a 105 mm bore and 127 mm stroke. The same designation also appears in the field at 83, 95 and 97 kW, and the aftercooled TA build is a separate engine. This page sets out which injection pump and connecting rod numbers belong to which build.

| Ratings Sold Under One Name | 74.5 kW, 83 kW, 95 kW and 97 kW all appear under the 1104C-44T heading, so the name alone fixes no output. |
|---|---|
| Turbo and Aftercooled | 44T is turbocharged only; 44TA adds air-to-air charge cooling; TAG2 is a further generator build code. |
| E Build Code | 1104C-E44T and 1104C-E44TA carry their own pump number, 2644N401, which the plain 44T does not use. |
| Later Generation | 1104D-44T replaces this build with electronic control on the same 4.4 litre frame. |
| Other Badges | 3054C and C4.4 are the designations used for the same iron in machines of another make. |
| Injection Pump Numbers | 2644H013 and its 2644H003 sibling, 2644H027 and 2644H503 all fit this family; 9320A521T and 0460424491 are cross references seen alongside. |
| Connecting Rod Numbers | 4115C361 and 4115C315 are the rod assemblies sold against 1104C-44T and 1104D-44TA. |
| Caution — A Serial Sold As A Part | RJ51175 and 1RJ51175 crop up in headings as if they were part numbers, and neither identifies a component. |
| Caution — Rounded Brake Horsepower | 99.9 bhp is the published figure and sellers round it to 100, which then reads as a bigger engine than it is. |
| Caution — Placeholder Prices | Some offers carry a token figure per piece that has no relation to the goods, so a price comparison taken at face value is worthless. |
| Related Components | Cylinder head, gasket set, piston and liner kit, bearings, injector, rotary pump, turbocharger, oil pump, water pump, rod assembly, starter, alternator. |

Because the designation describes an architecture rather than a single calibration. A 4.4 litre four-cylinder can be released at several fuelling levels for different duties, and each level carries its own pump setting and often its own piston grade. Buyers who quote a kilowatt figure get the right engine; buyers who quote the model name get whatever the seller has on the floor.
Enough to change the plumbing, the manifold and the price. Charge cooling drops the intake temperature after the turbocharger, which lets the same block carry more fuel and make more torque without raising thermal load, so the TA build is not a bolt-on kit for a T unit. The two also take different pumps, and the intercooler itself sits in the machine rather than on the engine.
In any application whose gate it can still clear, which in practice means older machines, spare unit replacement and markets that have not tightened non-road limits for the power class. A rotary pump meters fuel by mechanical schedule, so no amount of servicing will let it meet a stage that assumes electronic trim. If the machine has to pass a newer gate, the honest answer is the D generation, not this one.
2644H013 for the common 44T build, 2644H027 and 2644H503 for the variants listed.
An engine serial or build reference, not a component number.
No, it is the same figure rounded up for a headline.
